Fred's Kitchen: feeding hearts and minds
Fred's Kitchen is part of Fred Victor, a social service charitable organization that fosters long-lasting, positive change in the lives of homeless and low-income people across Toronto.
For over 130 years, Fred Victor has been at the forefront of offering essential services, operating from 25+ locations across the city. These services include:
- Affordable and transitional housing
- Shelters and emergency respite
- Food access
- Job training and counseling
- Mental health outreach and specialized support programs
Fred's Kitchen provides on-the-job culinary training for people at risk of homelessness, newcomers, and those living with addiction or mental health challenges, often serving as the first step toward rebuilding their lives. In addition, Fred's Kitchen delivers nutritious meals to shelters and community spaces across the city.
